The Vending Machine is located in the kitchenette space of the Macrodata Refinement office. The vending machine is operated with tokens and contains an assortment of snacks such as raisins, fruit, seeds, and nuts. It is unknown who stocks the vending machine and how often the featured snacks are replenished and/or replaced.

Spicy candy is a term use by Irving to describe a mysterious snack once experienced by the MDR team. Irving implies that the spicy candy was imposed upon the severed workers as part of some sort of loyalty test and that someone failed at this test. According to a scene recreated in the Thank Kier for the Macrodat Uprising video, the spicy candy refers to peppermints. In the scene, Dylan retrieves the candy from the vending machine and appears to experience an allergic reaction upon eating it. When the MDR team watches this scene unfold in the video in Hello, Ms. Cobel, Dylan's non-verbal response seems to confirm the events to an extent, and he appears visibly embarrassed by the depiction.

• Packages of raisins or pretzels were available to fans, for free, at The Grove Apple Store in May 2022^[1]. They were also available for a Lumon token at the Severance Activation event at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2022.
