Seth Milchick

Seth Milchick was previously the main severed floor employee liaison at Lumon Industries, where he also provides security support. In that role, he administered the The Compunction Statement in the Break Room as well as escorting employees when there is any kind of change in their routine, floor layout, or spacially dictated access. Ostensibly he also served these functions for the other departments on the severed floor, not just MDR, but details are sparse in season 1.

He has since been promoted to Manager of the Severed floor and has redecorated that office to suit his managerial and personal style, including maintaining a bonsai tree.

Nothing is known about Seth Milchick's life outside the halls of Lumon, though he has visited Dylan in his home. In the Deputy Manager role, he covers a wide array of responsibilities:

• Primary work contact for outies (e.g. for calling in sick)
• Handling new hire outie/innie transition support
• Priming pre-severance employees with a Mr. Eagan fact to test question #4 on their orientation survey.
• Facilitating team-building exercises
• Delivering news and information to departments
• Hosting Melon Bar, Egg Bar, Music/Dance Experience, and Retirement Party events
• Monitoring employee activities on camera
• Overseeing Severance chip implant surgery
• Performing Break Room interrogations
• Photographing employees at work and play for propaganda purposes
• Punishing infractions that do not merit a trip to the Break Room, such as using the bad soap on them, or extracting swallowed attempts to foil the Code Detectors in the elevators
• Escorting innies to the Testing Floor elevator
• Potentially more duties (see Theories)

As Manager of the Severed Floor, his duties and responsibilities will likely expand greatly.

• In the Music/Dance Experience scene, actor Tramell Tillman had to perform multiple takes over a lengthy day of filming. He was wearing a cashmere turtleneck sweater which he reported as being “unbelievably hot, requiring him to be tended to by assistants with ice packs^[1].
• In his desk drawer in the manager's office, Milchick has a carefully nested bonsai maintenance kit.

Mark: Wait, we’re locked in now?
Milchick: I prefer “safely situated.”
