Petey has a roughly early-2000's style flip phone that apparently has the longest lasting battery in the history of cell phones. It is seen in a number of episodes and ultimately is discarded by Mark in the recycle bin instead of the trash bin, a thing he has already been warned about doing (in episode 1, Good News About Hell). The only person who calls it is Reghabi and it is never answered. Petey accidentally or on purpose leaves it behind in Mark's house before he wanders into town to ultimately die at the Midday Star gas station and convenience store in episode 3, In Perpetuity.

Mark tries to hide the phone in a box of camping gear when its incessant vibrating annoys him.
