Senior Refiner Morning Checklist
The Senior Refiner Morning Checklist is used by the Macrodata Refinement senior refiner at the start of each workday. It is located in a metal hanging pocket on the wall. The folder may often include general announcements and attachments as well, such as newly printed group photos.

The following should be completed before commencing the day’s work.
Remember! You are permitted one record to listen to each morning during your morning checklist procedures. Which will you choose today?
- Brew a pot of coffee.
- Refill the soap dispenser in the restroom.
- Sweep the floor using the carpet sweeper.
- Wipe down the desk surfaces in each cubicle.
- Dust the Lumon Compliance Handbook and Appendices.
- Return vending machine tokens to jar.
- Review employee lunches.
- Check refrigerator temperature.
- Acknowledge Kier Eagan portrait (verbally or silently).
- Inspect keyboards for weak keys.
- Self-Assess: Can I lead today?
- Check toilets for unflushed waste.
- Inspect office crannies for interdepartmental raiders (unlikely).
- Test each chair.
- Check/refill copier paper.

Trivia
- The checklist appears just once, when Mark reviews it at the start of his first full day as MDR department head.[2] After reviewing the checklist, Mark is seen performing each of the tasks in order, through the fourth task—at which point he becomes distracted by Petey in the group photos on the desks.
- The record to which Mark is heard listening is “Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho,” a 1963 song by Grant Green.
