====== 266 ====== A **266** is a procedure carried out by Lumon Industries administration. While the exact details of the procedure are not known, the use of the term strongly suggests what it is and what it’s intended to accomplish. ===== Background ===== In The Grim Barbarity of Optics and Design, Irving visits the printer with the intention to make a photocopy. Instead of his copy, the printer produces a disturbing image depicting a violent act committed upon macrodata refinement by optics and design. Afterward, Ms. Cobel asks Mr. Milchick if he “ran a 266 on Irving B.,” which he confirms. He then explains that the intent was to dissuade Irving from spending so much time with Burt G., suggesting that the 266 could be a form of psyops or deliberate interference. ===== Trivia =====

Another fun nugget: The “266” that Milchick runs on Irving was named “266” as a nod to Dan Erickson’s childhood Boy Scout Troop (Troop 266).
